On December 10th, 2015 Students and Young Scientists’ Scientific Association (SYSSA) of David Tvildiani Medical University (DTMU) organized the “IV Scientific Session: A. Nobel’s Day – Management of Diseases”, which was held in MediclubGeorgia. Participants were undergraduate students from DTMU, Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) and the Institute of Neurology and Neuropsychology. Chairmen of the session were Joel Joseph, Mariam Mepistsveridze and Joe-Mgbakin Sharon, DTMU students and SYSSA members. The working language was English. David Tvildiani Medical University vice-rector, Prof. Sergo Tabagari greeted the audience, after whom Dr. Giorgi Gotsadze, MediclubGeorgia’s medical director gave an opening speech and awarded the MediclubGeorgia 2015-2016 Scholarship to Alexandre Asatiani, IV year student at DTMU. The IV Scientific Session consisted of very interesting and engaging oral presentations regarding the management and treatment of diseases, the research on which have received Nobel Prizes in Physiology or Medicine. The guest speaker, Tamar Ediberidze, Phd student at DTMU and neurologist at the Institute of Neurology and Neuropsychology, also presented. Each of the presentations actively engaged the audience into discussions with the participants. At the end of the session, Prof. Sergo Tabagari awarded participation certificates were awarded to all participants. Certificates were also awarded to the organizing committee members of SYSSA. SYSSA plans to continue the tradition of holding Scientific Sessions: “A. Nobel’s Day” on annual basis, with new topics and different formats every upcoming year.
