On December 10th, 2016 “V Scientific Session: A. Nobel’s Day – Intracellular Mechanisms”, was held in Mediclub Georgia, organized by Students and Young Scientists’ Scientific Association (SYSSA) of David Tvildiani Medical University (DTMU). Participants were undergraduate students from DTMU, Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU), a special participant from TSMU, Kakha Mchedlishvili and special guest, prof. Nunu Mickevich. Audience was greeted by Prof. Sergo Tabagari, after whom Prof. Nia Bregvadze-Tabagari gave an opening speech. After her speech, SYSSA president, Rudiko Rusia, made an introductory speech and V year student from DTMU, Alexandre Asatiani, presented “Surgical Interests Group” project. Session consisted of oral presentations regarding intracellular mechanisms and debates on “Bacteriophages vs Antibiotics”. The guest speaker, Kakha Mchedlishvili, presented an immunological study an experimental mouse model. At the end of the session, Prof. Sergo Tabagari awarded participation certificates to all participants. Certificates were also awarded to the organizing committee members of SYSSA.
